The "Musée Magritte Museum", an outstanding cultural project in the heart of Brussels.

On June 2nd 2009 the "Musée Magritte Museum" opened at the Place Royale in Brussels. Dedicated to the Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte (1898-1967), this new venue is made up of the world's richest and most varied collection of the painters work, supplemented by loans from numerous private collectors.

The partnership of skills shown by the French and Belgian branches of GDF SUEZ, together with the partnership of the Fondation Magritte have made this project possible, giving Brussels a positive tourist and cultural centre of attraction. This museum unveils to the public works which are being shown together for the first time, put together in various viewing orders, chronological and thematic.
